Hello,
hello, helloo. How are you? I hope your’re well.
Today I want to talk to you about the new “Masterpiece Nude Palettes” by Max Factor which I recently discovered. I had no clue that these were coming out so this was certainly a pleasant surprise. There are three different nude palettes available: one with warmer browns, one with colder tones and one with rosy shades. Unfortunately I could only get the one in the colour “02 Golden Nudes”. All others were sold out already. I’ve had not tried eyeshadow by Max Factor so was excited to try it. Let’s have a closer look…
The
Palette:
So, first
of all the palette is made of plastic but it doesn’t feel overly cheap. Inside
there are eight different shades of eyeshadow and a double-ended sponge
applicator. All in all I really like the look of the palette but I think they
could have left the applicator out but this is just personal preference since I
know I will never use it.
The
Shadows:
As I just
said there are eight different shadows, five of them are shimmery shades and
the other three are matt. I think the selection of colours is really nice since
you can create any look from a casual day look to a smokier evening one.
I’ve swatched each of the shades, so let’s have an even closer look. ;)

1: The
first shade is a matt white shade with a beige undertone which is perfect for
an inner corner highlight.
2: This
shadow is really, really shimmery and one can really see the glitter particles.
Nonetheless this is a lovely shade and again perfect for an inner corner
highlight.
3: The
second matt shade is a light chocolate brown and not that pigmented as I would
expect so I would use that to blend sharp edges of other shadow.
4: The star
of the show. This gold shade is my favourite colour in the whole palette. It
has an intense shimmer and it is really pigmented.
5: This one
is a warm brown with a golden shimmer, again quite strongly pigmented.
6: My
second favourite eyeshadow. This is a nice coppery brown. It has a good colour
payoff.
7: I am a
little bit disappointed with this shadow because it is too similar to the fifth
shade. The only difference is that it has slightly more black in it.
8: Last but
not least is a matt black which should be found in every good palette since you
can use it as an eyeliner or to make your look evening appropriate.
My thoughts:
So, I've tested this palette a fair few times now and I have to say I'm quite impressed with it. The shadows are nicely pigmented, they apply well and they blend like a dream. I only used these shadows with a cream shadow underneath, because that's what I always do, and with this trick they defenitely stay in place and last the whole day.
All in all, I can say that I will for sure use this palette this summer a lot since the weather is so nice and I love to wear gold eyeshadows when the sun is shining.
