Goodbye 2021, Hello 2022!

Happy New Year Everybody!

I hope you have all had a wonderful start to the new year and that it will be the best year of your life, so far. Like 2020, 2021 has not been easy for most of us. We all wished for a better year that would bring us back the normality from 2019 but Covid had other plans. However, I am not losing hope and I think 2022 will be a better year for all of us.

Nonetheless, 2021 was not all bad, at least for me. I know it has been very quiet around here for a long time… again. So, it is time for another update post… again.

The biggest and most exciting thing in 2021 for me was falling in love with the most amazing person. We met in May 2020 helping a mutual friend with moving house and in April 2021 that friend arranged a “date” at her place. Let me tell you guys, dating during a pandemic is not easy… but some of you will probably have struggled with that as well. It took him and me about a month of texting, calling each other and going on walks, until we became a couple. This was both an amazing and also nerve-wrecking time for me because this is actually my first proper relationship. However, now I am happier than I ever could be, and I am glad that I took the plunge and stepped out of my comfort zone.

I also started writing my master thesis - another nerve-wrecking event in my life. Since I have been writing a lot, there really was no energy left for this blog, unfortunately. I will be so relieved when the thesis is finally handed in in a couple of weeks and I hope I will have more time for this blog… at least until May. In May I will start my primary teacher training. I heard from fellow students that this will probably be the most stressful time in my life, though, I will stay positive that it will not be as bad as most people say. After all, I love being a teacher most of the time.

In late spring/early summer 2022 I will hopefully move out of my parents’ home into my own flat. FINALLY! I wanted to move out for some many years, and I am desperate to finally create my own perfect little space. So, keep your eyes peeled for a lot of home content coming to you this year. I am so excited for this! This will also make working on my blog and taking pictures so much easier as I will have more space that will inspire me. I also want to share so much more about cooking, food and recipes with you guys and having my own kitchen will help massively as well. ;)

As you can see, a lot has happened, but I am definitely not at the end of my journey. 2022 will be a new chapter of my life and I am so happy to share it on here.

Until then, …

I hope you’re having an amazing start to the new year. See you soon, xx
