Rodial Instaglam Contouring Powder // Review

Hello, hello, helloo! How are you? I hope you're well.

Today I want to talk to you a bit about the Rodial Instaglam Contouring Powder.
Rodial is well known for their contour powder and I have never seen a powder that has the perfect colour to contour with because they are mostly too warm toned. So I thought about buying this one for quite some time but a few weeks ago I finally took the plunge and just ordered it. To be completely honest, the price still gives me nightmares... Fortunately I still had a voucher and I also got 20% off. I otherwise wouldn't have bought it. This powder normally costs 60,95€ which is absolutely insane for a powder.

Anyway, let's talk about the product itself. It comes in a really nice silver compact which is also satisfyingly heavy. It has a really simple design with a big 'R' on the top and the background has a leather effect which is a nice detail. Inside there is, of course, the powder, and also a mirror. You will get 10,5g (or 0,4 oz), which is quite a lot, thus this will last you for a long time, since it's only used for contouring. This still doesn't justify the price but it's at least reassuring.
The powder itself has the perfect colour for contouring since it's not too warm toned but has more grey mixed into it, which is amazing for creating the illusion of a natural shadow. Furthermore it's really pigmented, so you definitely need to use this light handed.

One thing I need to mention is, that contouring is not easy! I needed a bit of practice until it turned out how I wanted it which isn't the fault of the product. I use the "135 Petit Face Definer" brush by Zoeva to apply it and I really just touch the powder with the brush a few times, which is enough to create a natural contour. Then I tap off the excess and then finally apply it. The powder blends really well which is the key to contouring.
Anyway, I really enjoy using it now and I'm not regretting that I bought it. I know that it costs a sh*t load of money but I honestly haven't found a drugstore alternative, yet. So, if you are looking for a nice contouring powder and this is within your budget, definitely check this one out.

Hopefully this review was helpful! If you know any nice contouring powder from the drugstore, feel free to tell me in the comments. :)

I hope you're having an amazing weekend! See you, xx
