Hello, hello, helloo! How are you? I hope you're well.
This week I want to talk about pore minimizing primers. I tested two drugstore primers and one more pricey one. I just wanted to say at the beginning that none of the products is able to fully make the pores disappear, which is probably impossible anyway. However, two of them did really well.
Pore Filler // Nyx
This primer works quite well. It definitely minimizes the look of the pores. However, I don't like the texture of the primer. It kind of feels like a makeup product that's gone off. It has a peachy beige colour and it leaves a nice powdery feel on the skin when it's applied. It costs 11,99€ and it definitely did a great job for a drugstore product.
Master Prime Pore Minimizing Primer // Maybelline
This products recently launched in Germany and, of course, I had to try it, too. It costs 7,95€ and I don't like this one as much as the Nyx one. It doesn't really minimize my pores and it has a greasy feel on the skin. Furthermore you need to shake it quite well before you use it, since it otherwise has a weird grey-ish colour. After I had shaked it, it became more skin coloured. The texture of the product is similar to the Nyx one but not as bad.
It also says on the product that it has blurring powders in it, which I unfortunately didn't notice on my skin.
I would give this one a miss.
The Porefessional // Benefit
If someone talks about a pore minimizing primer, this immediately comes to mind, since this is the most hyped pore minimizing primer there is. I didn't buy the full size product, because it's quite pricey with 34,99€ per primer.
However, this one is clearly the best out of the three I've tested. It has a creamy texture with a peachy beige tint to it. It has a powdery finish on the skin and it visibly minimizes the look of my pores and I noticed that it definitely blurs the skin.
I can absolutely recommend this and I think about buying the full-size version.
I hope you'll have an amazing start to the week! See you, xx
