A few months ago, I was looking for a new bronzer. I always have trouble finding a good bronzer that doesn't look too strange with my skin tone since I'm quite pale.
However, I think I have found the perfect one!
If you know a little bit about makeup and makeup brands, then you've probably heard of the iconic Hoola Bronzer by Benefit. Well, Benefit launched a lighter version of their bronzer a few years ago and I finally got round to trying it.
As always, let's start with the packaging. The "Hoola" bronzer is part of Benefits boxed powders, which means that the products are inside a box made out of quite sturdy cardboard. To this day, I can't say with certainty if I like this packaging or not. I mean, the look of it is cute, but it isn't the most travel-friendly product I've come across, since it is quite bulky. It has a magnetic closure which actually closes it securely. Inside, there is a small mirror, which I never use because of its size, and there also comes a brush with it. The brush doesn't look as horrible as others that usually come with a product, but I nonetheless never use it, since my actual brushes are simply better.
The most important bit is, of course, the product and without saying too much, I absolutely love it! It has the most perfect colour for my skin tone since it is so light. It's a matte powder, which I definitely prefer when it comes to bronzers. It is a really finely milled powder. It applies so well and blends amazingly. I often also use it for a natural contour and it works really well for it, too.The powder is scented, so if you are allergic to fragranced products or have other issues with it, please be aware of that. I personally have no problems with it and I actually quite like the scent. It smells a bit fruity.
Since it is a Benefit product and not from the drugstore, it is a bit more expensive. For 33,99€ you'll get 8g (0.28oz) of product and a brush and to me it's absolutely worth it. I used it so, so much since I got it and if you have pale skin, I can definitely recommend checking this out.
