YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick // Review

Hello, hello, helloo! How are you? I hope you're well.

Today I have another makeup review for you and it's an exciting one, since this is the first new makeup product I've bought in months. I've always been interested in YSL Beauty and so I took the plunge and bought another lipstick. The first YSL lipstick I've ever purchased was the "Rouge Volupté Shine" lipstick and I use it all the time, however, I wanted to try another formula, so I bought the "Rouge Pur Couture" lipstick in the colour "70 Le Nu".
As with all YSL makeup products, the packaging is absolutely stunning. The lipstick has a classic square shape. It's completely golden and it has the YSL logo on the front. It's also quite heavy, thus it looks and feels expensive. The outside is definitely an eye-catcher and perfect for displaying it on your dresser.

However, not only the outside of the lipstick is beautiful, but also the inside. I went for the shade "70 Le Nu", which is a gorgeous nude shade. As I've probably mentioned about a thousand times on this blog, I'm always drawn to nude shades since they are always really wearable and perfect for every makeup look. I would have wished a bigger spectrum of different nude shades in the lipstick collection, though, since I have the feeling there wasn't much to choose from. The colour "70 Le Nu" in particular is a nude shade with a pink undertone and it has a satin finish, which means that it's not overly shiny but also not matte. It feels really comfortable and light and it doesn't dry out the lips.
Furthermore, it's well pigmented and it applies evenly.

When I first wore this lipstick, I was blown away by the longevity of it. I wore it for about five hours and I ate cake while wearing it, I drank a lot of water and I also talked a lot and at the end the colour was still there. This impressed me very much since not many lipsticks manage to do that. I didn't have to touch it up and also I didn't have to apply lip balm in between, which also happens a lot with other lipsticks.

All in all, I'm really happy about my purchase. I love the formula and the shade is absolutely beautiful and perfect for every occasion. It retails around the 30€ mark which is a lot of money for a lipstick. However, if you're looking for something special and you want to treat yourself or somebody else, I can definitely recommend taking a look at it.

I hope you're having an amazing start to the new week! See you, xx
