Maybelline has been a brand I've been using for years and years. Since I first started testing out Maybelline products I have found many things I absolutely love and couldn't live without. Today I want to show you a few of my holy grail Maybelline products.
Super Stay 24h Full Coverage Foundation
This is a product which I have discovered only recently and it quickly became one of my firm favourites. I have always struggled to find foundations in the drugstore that match my pale complexion. I'm using the shade "03 True Ivory" at the moment and it's literally the perfect match. The foundation has a thicker consistency and it can definitely be built up to full coverage, however, I tend to mix in some moisturizer to make it a bit creamier. I really like using brushes to apply my foundation lately and that technique works well with this one. It blends really nicely into the skin and it stays in place and doesn't crease for almost the entire day. I can definitely recommend checking this one out.
Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer
The hype is real with this concealer and it's definitely justified with this product. This is by far the best concealer for under the eyes. It has an amazing coverage and thus it instantly covers the dark circles and brightens the under-eye area. It sits extremely well under the eyes, it doesn't crease and it doesn't settle into fine lines. Furthermore, it has anti-aging effects, which is always good, since the area under the eyes is very delicate and the first place where lines will appear.
Maybelline has also added a few new shades, which was about time, since the shade range before was horrible for such an iconic product. Now, there are definitely a few new lighter shades and a shade especially for brightening. The next step for Maybelline, however, should be introducing darker shades to suit people with a darker skin tone.
Color Tattoo 24hr Gel-Cream Eyeshadow
This was one of the first products I've tried from Maybelline and since then it has been an essential in my makeup collection. I have the colours "91 Crème de Rose", "35 On & On Bronze" and "65 Pink Gold" and in my opinion they are the best shades in the range. They are well pigmented, they blend really well and are generally really easy to work with. I also use them as an eyeshadow base, which works amazingly, since it gives powder eyeshadows the perfect base to stick to.
Unfortunately, there are also shades which are not good, since the pigmentation is completely off. For example, I bought a dark blue one once and it didn't work at all, so make sure that you swatch them first, before you buy them.
Brow Satin Duo-Brow Pencil & Filling Powder
I've been using this brow pencil for a reeeeally long time and it's actually the only brow pencil I've ever used since I love it so much. The pencil has two different ends. On one end is the actual pencil, which can be used to shape the brows, and on the other end is a little sponge with powder, which can be used to fill in bigger areas of the brow. There are two things that I have to add to this. The pencil is, in my opinion, not precise enough if you want to draw on really fine lines to imitate brow hair. However, this isn't the look I'm going for anyway. Furthermore, I rarely use the sponge end of the brow pencil, since it doesn't work for me and I waaay prefer the pencil end.
Although it now sounds like I have a lot of critique for this, I still am in love with this. The colour "Dark Blonde" is perfect for my brows. It applies really well, since it's not too hard and not too smooth. It lasts the entire day and now I cannot leave the house without doing my brows with this first.
